London Fashion Week Day Two: Today’s Top Trends

Futurespace Magazine’s LFW blogger Adela Cechova recounts her AW trend spots from the likes of Daks, Clements Ribeiro, Christopher Raeburn and Alice Palmer, following another hectic day at the shows.

Day two of London Fashion Week is nearly behind us and what a cram-packed ten hours it was. Starting the day off with Daks, we saw a very traditional English heritage look and signature tailoring. This was followed by a very lively collection from Clements Ribeiro, which threw in a little bit of everything. Lot of clashing prints and colourblocking, very defined waists with wide belts, many below-the-knee skirts and paired-down trousers. Every look maintained a very relaxed, cool vibe, finished off with strong fuchsia lips.

Christopher Raeburn was a truly Autumn/Winter collection with coats and various outdoor wear appearing in almost every look, hinting that it may be time to stock up on those parka and bomber jackets.

House of Holland lived up to our colourful expectations. Prints included houndstooth and zigzag stripes, promoting a very sporty feel.

Simone Rocha’s very feminine collection included a lot of white pieces, an array of oversized coats, jackets and many looks that supported a peplum waist.

Todd Lynn’s show mainly featured very dark tones, striking green and burnt orange garments.

Alice Palmer’s hand-knitted collection is always a highlight, due to its very intimate affair. Presented in a swanky suite at the Corinthia Hotel, you can properly inspect the gorgeous pieces up close, and even have a chat with the designer herself.

Metallics is a theme that has been clearly emerging over the two days, used in various different ways, such as Issa London and Jasper Conran’s gold and bronze dresses.

Defined waists and feminine silhouettes also seem to be in order for next season, finished off with fur.  What type? As long as you’re supporting the fuzz, it seems any form will do.
