Florian Jayet’s powerful and “fierce” tribal-themed collection was Adela Cechova’s biggest highlight from the past two fashion-packed days at LFW.
The Florian Jayet collection was definitely the show with the biggest “wow factor” so far. Every element was jaw-dropping: the clothes, the jewellery, the shoes, right through to the music that accompanied the parade of models.
Combining different elements of tribal life, the collection took inspiration from the Aztecs and Maoris, creating really bold statement pieces. Models wore their hair in pleats to add to the look.
The colour palette was bursting with earthy tones, but also electric blues mixed with green, grey and yellow, black and gorgeous metallics. This gave the garments a really futuristic edge, but, at the same time retaining quite a contemporary and wearable feel.
Both the shortest of mini dresses and longest of gowns were seen on Jayet’s catwalk, along with printed trousers and clashing print tunics, every outfit complemented with teetering high heels.
Jayet’s Autumn/Winter collection made for a fierce spectacle of a show that was anything but ordinary. Here, he has created pieces that will empower women as if they were fashion warriors, ready to go out and conquer the world.
